An electronic visa is a fully electronic authority to enter Australia and fully replaces the traditional visa label/sticker placed in passports. At check-in time, your participating air or cruise carrier(2) is equipped to verify your electronic visa directly through their computer reservation system, the same system used to arrange and verify your travel itinerary.

• This visa is valid for use for one year beginning from the day of approval (if your passport expires sooner than one year, your electronic visa will expire on that date also)
